Webb Security Systems is one of the North West’s leading security service providers, covering all aspects of electronic security and fire safety. From its base in Manchester, Webb’s team of engineers travel throughout the region, visiting homes and businesses where they complete site assessments and carry out essential installations, maintenance and repairs.
The Hut8 app allows Webb head office to record, schedule and delegate each job that comes in, whether it’s a one-off call out or regular maintenance check. The job is simply inputted into the back office system, requiring only the entry of the client, the job description, allocation of an engineer and the time / date it will be scheduled.
After the new information has been entered into the Workflow Max back office system, the engineer simply hits refresh on the mobile device to receive his/her daily schedule and job details. An inbuilt mapping system even provides directions to the location.
The engineer can then put job information directly into the app. This includes arrival and finish time, type of work carried out and any resources used. All new information is then automatically logged back into the system. The client is asked to review the work and sign on completion. An inspection certificate is produced and can be emailed then and there, improving customer service.
The back office supervisor has a complete overview of work being carried out and has the tools to coordinate the whole business efficiently. As all information is automatically logged and updated, office coordinators can save many hours that would otherwise be taken up with follow up phone calls and data entry. If no internet signal is available throughout the entire job process, the data is simply stored with our unique caching system and beamed back to base when a signal becomes available.
This app package is not only applicable to Webb: it’s designed for any business whose employees regularly visit clients and need to log new information and / or carry out work on site, such as builders, heating engineers, cleaners, decorators and so on.
